The Surgical Oncology Fellow will gain hands-on experience in the operating room, outpatient clinics, and inpatient care settings. The fellowship emphasizes the development of technical surgical skills, clinical decision-making, and academic scholarship. Fellows will participate in tumor boards, journal clubs, and research projects, with opportunities to present at national conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
This position is ideal for a board-eligible or board-certified general surgeon who is seeking subspecialty training in surgical oncology. The fellowship is typically one to two years in duration, depending on the program structure and the fellow’s career goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, academic excellence, and professional development.
Key areas of focus include gastrointestinal cancers, hepatopancreatobiliary tumors, breast cancer, melanoma, sarcoma, and peritoneal surface malignancies.
